The Renault TSF is a French light tank from the First World War and the interwar period, the first prototypes of which were presented in 1918, and serial production continued in 1918-1919. In total, about 200 examples of this tank were produced in its course. A single Renault 18CV carburettor engine with 35 HP was used as the drive. The tank had no permanent armament.
The Renault TSF was developed on the chassis of the very successful Renault FT-17 tank, from which it also took the engine and many other mechanical elements. Compared to its predecessor, however, it differed in the dismantling of the turret with armament and the installation in its place of an armored superstructure with an E-10ter long-range radio station. The Renault TSF therefore served as a radio communication tank in units equipped with FT-17 tanks. Interestingly, the crew of the car increased from 2 to 3. Tanks of this type survived in the French army until the outbreak of World War II, but with time they began to be used as mobile observation points, for example in the area of the Maginot Line. In the 1920s, probably 6 cars of this type went to the Polish Army.
