The Breguet Bre.693 is a French heavy fighter, attack and reconnaissance aircraft from World War II with an all-metal mid-wing structure. Bre.693 is a member of the entire family of Breguet airplanes designated as Bre.690. The prototype's flight took place in October 1939 and it entered mass production in the same year. The Bre.693 was an attempt to implement the concept of a universal aircraft that serves primarily as a heavy, universal fighter and reconnaissance aircraft. The serial machines were powered by two 14-cylinder Gnome-Rhône 14M 6/7 radial engines with 700KM each. Until the outbreak of the war, 250 Bre.693 machines were produced. During the French campaign, Bre.693 fought in five French aviation squadrons: GBA I / 51, GBA II / 51, GBA I / 54, GBA II / 54 and GBA II / 35. A small number of surviving machines served until 1942 in the army of the Vichy State.
