The Peugeot 205 car turned out to be a huge market success and was one of the most popular cars in its class in the 1980s! The propulsion was gasoline and diesel engines with a capacity of 1 to 1.9 liters and a power of up to 200 HP (excluding rally versions). Peugeot 205 also successfully competed in car races and rallies, winning, among others, the Paris-Dakar rally three times and the World Rally Championship twice (in 1985-1986).
