The Sopwith Tabloid is a British single-seat, wooden-canvas sports biplane, which was first flown in 1913. The first versions were powered by the Gnome Monosoupape 80HP engine. However, with the adoption of the machine to the RFC, a more powerful engine (100HP) was installed. Sopwith Tabloid planes served at the front from 1914 to early 1915. They carried out reconnaissance, hunting and bombing missions, although they could only drop two bombs of 9 kg each. One of the variants of this plane was the Sopwith Schneider - a seaplane confusingly similar to the Tabloid, but with a float landing gear. Technical data: length: 7.02 m, wingspan: 7.77 m, height: 3.05 m, maximum speed: 148 km / h, practical ceiling: 4600 m, maximum range: 510 km, armament: fixed - 1 Lewis machine gun cal. 7.7mm, suspended - up to 18kg bombs.
