The Suzuki RGV500 is a Japanese racing motorcycle that was first presented to the public in 1986. Its serial production started in the same year and lasted until 2001.
The RGV500 model was developed and put into production to replace the RG 500 Gamma on the track. Compared to its predecessor, it still had a 4-cylinder 500 cm3 engine, but it was a much more modern and less reliable unit, also characterized by a slightly better dynamics of work. It also improved its aerodynamic properties and tried to reduce all air resistance. Still, the Suzuki RGV500 was slower than its main opponents - especially the Honda models. However, thanks to good traction and maneuverability, the riding Kelvin Schwantz won the 1993 World Champion title, just like Kenny Roberts Junior seven years later.
